Campus Fire Update

On Sunday, January 27, 2008, the Jack Evans Sr. Administration Building and the adjacent Science Building were destroyed by fire. The President and the Board of Trustees are currently developing a rebuilding plan that will require all of our support. As soon as that information is available, it will be posted here and sent via email.

Reunion Guidelines

At the annual meeting of the Alumni Association, official Reunion Guidelines were adopted for any class/decade/era wishing to reunite in the name of Southwestern Christian College. If you are the official representative of your reunion, please download the guidelines to ensure that you are in compliance with the Alumni Association.

Now, more than ever, the memories of our college become more important than ever. Take the time to share one of your favorite memories with the rest of the Southwestern Family. Submit your favorite SwCC Memory for inclusion in this timeless classic. All alumni, former students, faculty, and staff are invited to share a special memory for this first-time publishing effort of the SwCC Alumni Association.
The publication of this book will kick-off the beginning of the 60th Anniversary Celebration in 2009.

Deadline for submission is October 31, 2008. All proceeds from the book will benefit the SwCC Alumni Association. Fact Folio & Release Forms are available in the Alumni Affairs Office or here. Click here to download form.

Dr. Evans accepts recommendation of SwCC Alumni Association

After reviewing a formal request from the Association, Dr. Jack Evans Sr. approved of changing the name of the annual High School Day activity to reflect the name of the Association’s first president. The recruitment day will now be known as “Alvertice Bowdre, Jr. High School Day.”  He also agreed to refer to the annual traveling ensemble as the “Dr. J.S. Winston Summer Tour.”  Click here to read the letter of recommendation here.
